L. Huddleston Dies On Thursday At Ward 10 Home Father of Police Juror P. F. Huddleston; Funeral Rites Friday M. D. L. Huddleston, age 88, father of P. F. Huddleston, police juror from Ward 10, died at his home near Goldonna Thursday, June 30, following an illness of several months. Mr. Huddleston, known as "Uncle Bud" had live in his home community all his life and endeared himself to the citizens of the entire section. He was a member of the Carolina Baptist Church, and was active in civic life of his community. Funeral services were held Friday morning July 1 at eleven o'clock at the Carolina Baptist Church with the Reverend J. M. Goodman of Saline officiating. Surviving him are three sons, O. D. Huddleston, J. E. Huddleston, and P. F. Huddleston, three daughters, Mrs. Ada Peterson, Miss Ola Huddleston, all of Ward 10 and Mrs. H. E. Peterson of Urania. Among those attending the funeral services from Winnfield were Congressman A. Leonard Allen, B. W. Bailey, P. K. Abel, Kenneth Watts, Jim Bevill and B. L. Anderson.
