F. Huddleston, 69, Buried At Yankee Springs October 2 Phine Francis Huddleston, 69, former police juror of Ward Ten, died suddenly of a heart attack Monday morning while at the home of a neighbor. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 2 p.m. at the Yankee Springs Baptist Church, 8 miles north of Calvin. The Rev. Roy Joiner officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Herman Bonsall, Douglas Peterson, Donell Peterson, Pruett Huddleston, Prentice Riddle, Coy Babers. A native of Winn Parish, Mr. Huddleston had spent his entire life in the Ward Ten community. He formerly had served his ward for 12 years as police juror, later as game warden. For a number of years he was in the sawmill business and at the time of his death he operated a grocery business. Mr. Huddleston was a member of the Pine Ridge Baptist Church and of the Goldonna Masonic Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dora Peterson Huddleston, Ward 10; two sisters, Mrs. Parrie Peterson, Tullos, and Miss Ola Huddleston, Rt. 1, Saline; and one brother, Jim Huddleston, Wyatt, La.
