Last Rites For W. C. Hudson Held At James Cemetery

William C. Hudson, 56 year old timber worker, died Thursday, June 14, in a
Winnfield hospital after a long illness.  He was a native of Winn Parish and
a member of the Union Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday in the Southern Funeral Home
chapel with Rev. Ed Smith officiating.  Burial was in the James Cemetery near
Sikes.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Hudson of Joyce; three
brothers, Homer Hudson and Clarence Hudson, both of Winnfield, and Elmore
Hudson of Joyce; and two sisters, Mrs. J. W. Butler of Winnfield and Mrs. J.
L. Pailet of Joyce.

Acting as pallbearers were R. H. Creel, Jr., Charley Corley, James Massey,
Arthur Spangler, George Norris, and Henry Sanders.
