Hughen Buried At New Hope May 26th James C. Hughen, 52, who died in New Orleans Thursday, May 24, was buried Saturday in the New Hope Cemetery. Funeral services were preached at the New Hope Methodist Church by Robert Daily, pastor of the Dodson Nazarene Church, with Hixson Funeral Home in charge of burial. A resident of Kenner, La., Mr. Hughen was reared and educated at Dodson, La. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. George W. Hughen of Route 1, Dodson. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Louise Jenkins Hughen of Kenner; his parents, two sons, Billy James Hughen and James Hughen, Jr., of Grayson, La.; three daughters, Joy Hughen of Grayson, Mrs. Benny Davis of Beaumont, Texas, and Mrs. Ruth Blevins, a member of the U. S. WAVES, stationed in California; seven brothers, G. V. and H. M. of Natchitoches; L. L. of Arcadia, R. V. and J. W. of Winnfield, and V. H. and H. O. of Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. Mamie Conn of Shreveport, Mrs. O. L. Wiggley of Winnfield, and Mrs. Pat Chestnut of Minden. Mr. Hughen was a member of the Methodist Church. His seven brothers served as pallbearers.
