V. Hughen Held Here Tues. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home for Rudolph Vivian Hughen, 72, lifelong resident of Winn Parish. Interment was in the Teagle Cemetery. Mr. Hughen died at his home shortly before midnight August 6 as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Coroner Billy W. Floyd placed the time of death at 11:55 p.m. Mr. Hughen was born in Rockford, Alabama, August 10, 1895. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Methodist Church. He was a retired saw filer. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mabel Hughen of the home of 411 Elliott; one daughter, Mrs. Vivian Fowler of Winnfield; his mother, Mrs. Mary Etta Hughen of Winnfield; four brothers, Lucien Hughen of Arcadia; Joe Hughen of Winnfield; George Hughen of Dodson; and Victor Hughen of Shreveport; two sisters, Miss Helen Hughen, Hudson community, and Mrs. Mary Francis Wiggley of Los Angeles, California.
