He was the husband of the former Lucille Long, younger sister of the late Governors Huey and Earl Long. Last rites were in Ruston Thursday. Mr. Hunt was the son of John S. and Mattie Stewart Hunt, who lived in Winnfield many years. His father was partner with O. E. Hodge in the operation of the Sulphur Timber Co. here and another large operation at Hodge during the first decade of the present century. While residents here, the Hunt family's home was on the site where Southern Funeral Home now stands. The family was active in organizing the Presbyterian Church here and donated the site where the building and parsonage stand. Mr. Hunt is survived by his wife and one son, John S. Hunt, Public Service Commissioner, and one brother, Alex Hunt.
