Hurley Services for Thomas Aaron Hurley, 87, a former mayor of Montgomery were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church with the Revs. Charles Harlan and J. C. Rousseaux officiating. Burial was in Dry Prong Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria. Hurley died at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 1984 in Rapides General Hospital, Alexandria. He was a retired field auditor for the Louisiana State Tax Commission, a member of the First Baptist Church and a Mason. Hurley was mayor of Montgomery from 1935-36 and served as secretary-treasurer of the Grant Parish Police Jury. Survivors include his wife, Frances Hurley of Montgomery; one daughter, Bobby H. Johnson of Alexandria; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
