M. Jenkins is Buried Here Former Resident of This Parish Dies in Arizona Funeral services for W. N. Houston, 75, former citizen of Winn Parish, who died at his home in Tucson, Arizona, Friday, March 5, at 4:30 a.m. were held from the residence of Mrs. J. M. Jenkins, daughter of the deceased here at 2:30 Monday afternoon. Dr. B. C. Land, pastor of the First Baptist Church conducted the service. Interment was in the Jerusalem Cemetery, five miles west of here where Masonic rites were held. The principal funeral oration was made by the pastor of the First Baptist Church in Tucson Friday, March 5. Following same the journey to Louisiana began, his body arriving over the L. & A. railway at 4:30 Monday morning. Mr. Houston had been in failing health for several years. His illness, which became critical about three weeks ago, resulted in his death last Friday. Survivors are his widow, two sons, Clarence and John L. Houston of Tucson, Ariz., and two daughters, Mrs. O. H. Bradford of Ruston, La., and Mrs. J. M. Jenkins of Winnfield.
