L. Hutson of Winnfield Mrs. Mary Lula Tucker Hutson, of Winnfield, widow of the late R. L. "Bob" Hutson, of Dodson, died of a heart attack at 12:20 Thursday night, March 13, 1948, while spending the night with a neighbor, Mrs. E. E. Seiley. Mrs. Hutson would have observed her 74th birthday April 10. Born in Arkansas she had lived in Texas before moving to Gaars Mill and later to Dodson where she resided for more than 30 years before coming to Winnfield six years ago. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was active in missionary work, bearing the title of "Circle Grandmother". Mrs. Hutson was the mother of 14 children, nine of whom survive her. They are J. T. Hutson; Shreveport, O. E. Hutson, Haynesville; H. P. Hutson, San Antonio; M. R. Hutson, Poplarville, Miss.; Mrs. Viola Walker, Slidell; Mrs. A. A. Berry, Pineville; Mrs. M. R. Berry, Mrs. Ira B. Cole, and Mrs. J. L. Waters, all of Winnfield. She also leaves 15 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. H. H. McBride and the Rev. Fred Flurry officiating. Burial was in the Harmony Grove Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers were Harwell Allen, Harper Terrill, Curtis Austin, J. W. Wroten, Louis Wood, Kelly Peterson, Ott G. Milam, and R. D. Bevill. Among the out of town relatives and friends attending the services in Winnfield were Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Hutson and daughter, Nancy, Haynesville; Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Walker, Sr., R. L. and Laverne Walker, Slidell; C. B. Walker, Jr., Lake Charles; Modell Walker, Opelousas; Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Berry and Leroy and James Berry, Pineville; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hogue and baby, Pineville; J. T. Hutson, Shreveport; Mr. and Mrs. M. R. Hutson, Poplarville, Miss.; Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Hutson, San Antonio; Mr. and Mrs. Ivy Poston, Houston; Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Melancon and children, and Mrs. Mattie Plilar, Bossier City; Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Waters, Shreveport; Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Milam, Tullos; Mack Hutson, Mrs. Hooper Mooney, Mrs. Maldon Payne, Mrs. Edith Terral, Dodson; Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Berry, Guy Berry, Mrs. Joe Hughen, and Mrs. A. J. Brewer, Hudson.
