Hyckembottom Is Buried Here Wednesday Afternoon Addis C. Hyckembottom, who died in Tacoma, Washington, Monday, March 23, as a result of septic sore throat, was brought to Winnfield Wednesday for burial. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church with Rev. Alwin Stokes and Rev. H. B. Hysell in charge. Interment was made in the Winnfield Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers were C. J. Hastings, Eli Harrell, Jack Oglesby, Leo Sowers, Joe Emerson, and Arthur Scott. The deceased was born in McGee, Ark., April 13, 1905. He moved to Winnfield with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Hyckembottom, in 1907, and attended grammar and high school here. After his graduation from high school in 1922 he joined the Navy. He attended criminology school in Seattle, Washington, after his release from the Navy and was active in immigration service for seven years. Mr. Hyckembottom is survived by his wife, Emily Hoffman Hyckembottom, a daughter, Rosileen Marie; his mother, Mrs. P. C. Hyckembottom, Baton Rouge, a sister, Mrs. Hubert I. Lindsay of Baton Rouge; and the following aunts and uncles: Mr. and Mrs. B. T. Sompayrac of Alexandria, Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Spears of Jonesboro; Grady Broadnax of Shreveport, Mr. and Mrs. Grover Broadnax of Jonesboro.
