All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: July 30, 1942 Winn Parish Enterprise Albert Ray Hyde Claimed By Death Monday Morning Albert Ray Hyde, 50, of Longleaf, died at 7:10 a.m. Monday morning in the Veterans Hospital near Alexandria as the result of a heart attack. Funeral services were conducted at 3:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Glenmora Methodist Church with the Rev. A. D. George, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Dr. R. H. Harper of Alexandria. Interment was in the Butters Cemetery near Forest Hill. Mr. Hyde was born in Winn Parish near Hudson in 1892, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. N. M. Hyde. He has been a member of the Glenmora Methodist Church for 23 years and has been an active member of the Masonic Lodge. He was bookkeeper for the Crowell Spencer Lumber Company at Longleaf at the time of his death and had held that position for the past 23 years. Mr. Hyde was a veteran of World War I, having served in the Quartermaster Division at Camp Beauregard. In 1917, he married Miss Erin Quinn of Longleaf. Surviving the deceased are his wife, two daughters, Misses Erin Elaine and Lois Nell Hyde of Longleaf, and one son, Quinn, who is a medical student at Tulane in New Orleans; two sisters, Mrs. W. C. Colvin of Winnfield and Mrs. L. Dow Wardlow of Montgomery; and seven brothers, E. Q. Hyde of Monroe; W. F. of Shreveport; B. W. of Monroe; Robert, of Winnfield; O. E. of Rodessa; Clyde of Germantown, Tenn.; and Crawford L., of Alexandria.
