Hyde Services for James Ernest "Jimmy" Hyde of Natchitoches, La., were at 5 p.m. Sunday, June 23, in the chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches with the Rev. Conrad Edwards officiating. Burial was in American Cemetery in Natchitoches. Mr. Hyde, 85, died at 6:40 a.m. Friday, June 21, 1991, in Natchitoches Parish Hospital in Natchitoches. He was a native of Winnfield, a former resident of Many, and a longtime resident of Natchitoches. Mr. Hyde was for several years a Natchitoches Parish School Board member, and was former owner of Motel Louisiane. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Rotary Club, Phoenix Masonic Lodge No. 38, and the El Karubah Shrine of Shreveport. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mrs. Tracy L. Harrel, Sr., the former Vermelle Hyde, of Winnfield. Survivors are two sons, Jim Hyde of Many, La. and Steve Hyde of Las Vegas, Nev.; and one grandchild and two great grandchildren.
