Robert C. Hyde Succumbs After Lengthy Illness

Robert C. Hyde, 47, succumbed at his home in South Winnfield Saturday, March
25, 1944, after a long illness.  Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon
at 2:30 in the South Winnfield Baptist Church, with the Rev. Alwin Stokes
officiating.  Assisting in the services were the Rev. Robinson and Rev. H. H.
McBride.  Interment was in the Teagle Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife and five children: Robert C., Jr., Dallas Ray, Effie
Lee, Newton Marion III, and Walter Woodros.  He also leaves five brothers,
E. Q. of Monroe; W. F. of Shreveport; O. E. of Baton Rouge; C. M. of
Germantown, Tenn., and Crawford L. of Alexandria; and one sister, Mrs. W. C.
Colvin of Winnfield.

Mr. Hyde's death is the fifth in the Hyde family within recent months.

Out of town attendants at the funeral included members of the family and Mrs.
Boyd and family of Rodessa, La.
