W. F. Hyde, 81, Of Montgomery Dies In Shreveport Sunday

W. F. Hyde, age 81, uncle of J. M. Hyde, local resident, died in Shreveport
Sunday following several years' illness.

A native of Montogmery, La., Mr. Hyde had farmed near that town until he
retired a few years ago to make his home with his daughter, Mrs. C. J. Calhoun
in Montgomery, and his son in Shreveport.

He had been a member of the Montgomery Baptist Church for 66 years.

Funeral services were held Monday noon at Union Grove Cemetery near
Montgomery, conducted by the Rev. Whige, pastor of Montgomery Baptist Church.

Pallbearers were R. E. Jackson, W. P. Harrison, Asa Guin, Morgan Dyson, G. W.
Dyson, and W. P. Gilchrist (Gilcrease) all of Montgomery.

Besides his son and daughter, Mr. Hyde is survived by five grandchildren and
one great grandchild.  J. M. Hyde, Mrs. W. C. Colvin, and Mrs. A. L. McDonald
attended the funeral rites Monday.
