Samuel Blanchard Harper

Services for Samuel Blanchard Harper were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the
chapel of Southern Funeral Home with Dr. Calvin Phelps officiating.  Burial
was in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Harper, 89, of Winnfield died Monday afternoon February 8, 1988 in his
residence.

He was the retired owner of the American Caf‚ and Harper's Lumberyard and
Mill.

Survivors include one daughter, Ruth Harper Noah of Natchitoches; four
grandchildren and five great grandsons.
