THE WINNFIELD-NEWS AMERICAN Friday, March 25, 1938 Walter G. Hall of Alexandria Dies In Chicago Hospital Former Resident of Winnfield, Brother of J. R. Hall, Mrs. D. McDade Walter G. Hall, age 50, a former resident of Winnfield, but now of Alexandria and brother of J. R. Hall and Mrs. Dosia McDade, died in a Chicago hospital last Saturday, March 19. Mr. Hall was born in Water Valley, Miss. and come to Winnfield when a small boy with his parents. He later resided in Shreveport and from there moved to Alexandria. He was a World War veteran and a member of the Woodsmen of the World. The body arrived in Alexandria Tuesday from Chicago and funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the family residence at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Kearney Keegan followed by interment in the Greenwood Memorial Park. The rites were marked by Woodmen of the World and American Legion honors. Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lucille Booth Hall; sister, Mrs. Sosia McDade and brother, J. R. Hall of Winnfield; and brothers, Lester Hall of Cleveland, Miss., and Jack Hall of El Dorado, Ark.
