All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: July 1, 1943 Winn Parish Enterprise Former Winnfield Druggis Dies At Home In Bastrop Funeral services for Lemuel Clifton Ingram, 43, operator of the Bastrop Drug Company and one of Bastrop's most prominent businessmen who died suddenly of a heart attack Thursday night, were held last Sunday morning at 9 o'clock at the First Presbyterian Church of Bastrop. Rev. Loyd O'Neal of Columbia, Tenn., conducted the services with the assistance of Rev. Frank Person, Episcopal minister. The remains were interred at Hope, Ark., where last rites were held Sunday at 6 p.m. Mr. Ingram was a resident of Winnfield for about ten years. He was employed by the Phoenix Drug Company for a number of years, and later entered the drug business here in partnership with Pearce Porter. He sold his business about 1926 and worked in Tullos, La., and Longview, Texas, before going to Bastrop in 1927. Mr. Ingram was a member of the Morehouse Parish school board, a member of the Kiwanis Club, and a deacon of the First Presbyterian Church. He leaves his wife; a sister, Mrs. John Winberry of Shreveport; and two brothers, Abner C. Ingram, Norphlet, Ark., and Ray Ingram of Ramsey, La.
