George W. Irvin of Sardis Succumbs to Long Illness Tuesday

George W. Irvin, age 74, died at his home near Sardis Tuesday, May 21, 1929,
following several months of illness.

In early life Mr. Irvin united with the Baptist Chyurch at Cypress Creek and
lived a consecrated Christian life.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Sardis Church by Rev.
W. D. Sherwood, with interment in the Sardis Cemetery.

Surviving the deceased are his wife, Mrs. G. W. Irvin, three sons, W. H.
Irvin, G. P. Irvin, and I. M. Irvin, three daughters, Mrs. R. S. Collins, Mrs.
J. W. Ray, and Mrs. J. J. Fowler, thirty three grandchildren, and three great
grandchildren.
