Jones Dies; Rites At Cypress Creek Curtis A. Jones, 88, of Route 2, Dodson, died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 1973, in a Monroe nursing home following a long illness. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Cypress Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. R. L. Moffett officiating, assisted by the Rev. Wilmer Jordan. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Survivors include two sons, Adrian A. Jones and Doyle Jones, both of Monroe; seven daughters, Mrs. Etta Blackman, W. Monroe, Mrs. Ethel Bedgood, Goldonna, Mrs. Rosa Neathery, Oak Grove, Mrs. Emily Carpenter, Jonesboro, Mrs. Dorothy Parker and Mrs. Virgie Carpenter, both of W. Monroe, and Mrs. Rudell Bates of Dodson; a sister, Mrs. Bernice Shows of Winnfield; 40 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.
