George Jenkins, 58, Dies; Rites Held Thursday

Funeral services for George Jenkins, 58, of Winnfield, were held at 2 p.m.
Thursday in Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Winnfield.

Burial was in Jordan Hill Cemetery near here.

Mr. Jenkins died unexpectedly at his home about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 19,
1968.

He was a farmer and a school bus driver.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Pearlie Jenkins, Winnfield; two daughters,
Mrs. Lenore Dillard and Mrs. Maxie Griffin, both of Natchitoches; four
brothers, Wesley Jenkins of Winnfield, Luther Jenkins, Bill Jenkins, and
Buddy Jenkins, all of Robeline; two sisters, Mrs. Ruthie Walker of
Natchitoches, and Mrs. Sadie Broadway of Robeline; and four grandchildren.
