Mrs. P. R. Jennings Is Buried At Mt. Zion October 25

Mrs. Irene Elizabeth Jennings, 85, native of Winnfield, died at the home of
her daughter, Mrs. Grafton Shaw, 1408 Maple Street, Winnfield, at 8 a.m.
Tuesday after a long illness.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, at the Mt.
Zion Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mr. J. A. Allen of Montgomery and the
Rev. Dell Durand, church pastor, officiating.  Burial was in the Mt. Zion
Cemetery.

Acting as pallbearers were Marvin Jowers, Alvis Estes, Paul Garner, Elzie
Jennings, Johnny Bishop, Rufus McIlwain, and Jules McLamore.

Mrs. Jennings was a member of the Union Hill Baptist Church and had spent most
of her life in the Montgomery, Verda, and Winnfield area.  She was the former
Mrs. Irene Elizabeth Kelly.

Surviving are her husband, Perry R. Jennings, Winnfield; one daughter, Mrs.
Grafton Shaw, Winnfield; one son, Rufus Jennings, Montgomery; four 
granddaughters; nine great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
