Funeral Services Held On Tuesday For Byron Jackson

Funeral services for Byron Jackson, 68, were held Tuesday, April 28, at 2
p.m., following his death early Monday.  Cause of death was reported to be a
heart attack.

A retired construction worker, Mr. Jackson had lived in Winn Parish for about
44 years.  He was born April 17, 1885, in Shelbyville, Texas.

He is survived by one brother, Ben Jackson, of Winnfield.

Funeral services were held in the First Methodist Church with Rev. P. M.
Carraway, pastor, and Rev. Alwin Stokes, officiating.  Burial was in the
Winnfield Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers.

Pallbearers were Bryant Sholars, Lee Grigsby, Howard Ryder, Earnest Melton,
Roscoe Bice, and Buddy Wood.
