Jackson, 58, native of Winn Parish, were held in First Methodist Church, Monroe, at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Mr. Jackson, head of an oil and gas distributing firm in Monroe, died Tuesday morning after an illness of about two weeks. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. N. M. Jackson, of Winnfield, and has other relatives here. Mr. Jackson lived in Winnfield for several years and was active in civic and church activities. Funeral services were under the direction of Rev. H. L. Johns, assisted by Rev. Lea Joyner and Dr. E. K. Means. Burial was in Memorial Parish (Park?) Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Mildred Looney; one son, Dr. Jack T. Jackson of Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. Daniel Beacham of New Orleans and Mrs. D. V. Loflin of Monroe; two brothers, A. D. Jackson of Baton Rouge and Shirley Jackson of Winnfield; three sisters, Mrs. M. T. Crowe, Mrs. Harold DeBray, both of Winnfield, and Mrs. Herbert C. Smith of Houston, Texas; his mother, Mrs. N. M. Jackson of Winnfield, and eight grandchildren. Active pallbearers were A. K. Kilpatrick, Joe Durret, Earl K. Long, Pete Memefee, John E. Coon, Otto Passman, Monty Carbone, and A. E. Montgomery. Among honorary pallbearers from Winnfield were Charlie Smith, A. L. Smith, and Rev. Alwin Stokes.
