At 19 she married James Jackson of Winnfield who formerly came from Tennessee. Eleven children, seven girls and four boys were born to the union. Mr. Jackson died in 1928 at the age of 89. When a small girl Mrs. Jackson joined the Jerusalem Baptist Church. She later became a charter member of the Calvin Baptist church, where her membership remained throughout her life.
