Jackson, 68, lifelong resident of Winn Parish, died at his home in Winnfield at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, following a heart attack. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Sept. 28, at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, with Dr. W.L. Holcomb and the Rev. Eugene Langford officiating. Burial will be in the Winnfield cemetery under directio of Southern Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be nephews. Born and reared in Winn, Mr. Jackson had retired a number of years ago from the Winnfield Rock Quarry where he was employed. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, and a member of the Masonic Lodge of Calvin. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mollie Carter Jackson, Winnfield; one son, J.C. Jackson, and two grandchildren, Baton Rouge. He also leaves four sisters, Mrs. J.H. Martin, Miss Prentice Jackson and Mrs Jennie McLean, Winnfield, and Mrs. Ella Drummonds, Hodge.
