Negro Found Dead In Local Jail

John Jackson, negro, about 50 years of age, was found dead in the parish jail
here Monday by James Erskins, deputy sheriff.  Dr. J. F. Faith said cause of
death was heart failure.  The negro had been placed in jail while arrangements
were being made by city officials to place him in the state insane asylum.
