A. Jackson At Hargis Feb. 14 Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. February 11, 1955, for Thomas Andrew Jackson, 82, a resident of Montgomery, who died in a Winnfield hospital after a short illness. Rites were at the Hargis Baptist Church with the Rev. Mr. Corey and Judge Cas Moss officiating. Burial, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home, was in the Hargis Cemetery. Mr. Jackson, a native of Winn Parish, had lived in Winn and Grant Parishes all his life and was active in civic and church work. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include one son, Lonnie, of Montgomery; a daughter, Mrs. Eva Drewett, of Houston, Tex.; four brothers, Boby, Early, Clarence, and James Jackson, all of Montgomery; six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Johnnie, Arnold, E. C., Marvin, and Jonnnie Jackson, and Thomas Sill.
