Car Jumps An Embankment And Lands Twenty Five Feet Away Turning Summer Sault Nathan Jackson, negro of Sikes is dead, and Frank Primer, another negro of Joyce has a broken collar bone as a result of an automobile accident on the Pershing highway a few hundred yards north of Machen's filling station Wednesday afternoon about three o'clock. Primer, Nathan and Ausy Jackson, were coming into Winnfield, Primer driving in a Ford touring car, when the car left the road and after a few feet hit the embankment leading into Dr. F. C. Wren's field. The car was going at such a rapid rate of speed that it jumped this embankment and landed against the side of a ditch some twenty five feet away, tripped on the right front axle and completely turned a summer sault forward. The top was torn off and considerable other damage done to the car and injuries received by Nathan Jackson proved fatal about fifteen minutes later. Ausy Jackson, brother to Nathan was uninjured, while Primer sustains a broken collar bone with other minor bruises.
