Mother of D. D. Jacobs Succumbs In Shreveport

Funeral services were held Thursday, August 24, 1967, at 4 p.m., for Mrs.
Maggie C. Jacobs, 81, of 361 Southfield Rd., Shreveport, who died at 9:40 a.m.
Wednesday after a short illness.

Mrs. Jacobs, a resident of Shreveport for 37 years, was a native of Tull, Ark. 
She was a member of Lynbrook Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, D. D. Jacobs of Winnfield; two daughters, Mrs.
Mildred Schmutte of Shreveport and Mrs. Virginia Newton of Conroe, Texas;
three great grandchildren, and four sisters, Mrs. Neely Henslee of Malvern,
Ark., Mrs. Jewel Smith of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Byrd Duvall and Mrs.
Nannie McCool, both of Benton, Ark.

The Rev. Morris Robe, pastor of Lynbrook Missionary Baptist Church officiated
at the services in Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial was in Forest Park.
