Funeral of Randle Jackson Held At Sanders Church

Funeral services for James Randle Jackson, 54, who died in Natchitoches
Tuesday morning after an illness of several months, were held at 4 p.m.
Wednesday at Sanders Church near Calvin.  The Rev. J. W. Buckner of Jonesboro,
assisted by the Rev. Troy Wheeler of Natchitoches, officiated and interment
was in the Sanders Cemetery.

Nephews of the deceased acted as pallbearers.  They were Cecil and Oswald
Martin, Matt, Robert, and Willie Jackson, and Goodrich Kirkland.

Mr. Jackson, a native of Calvin, was in business in Campti and Jonesboro until
his health failed.  Several months ago he moved to Natchitoches.

In addition to his widow, Mrs. Mable Stephens Jackson, Mr. Jackson is survived
by three daughters, Mrs. Avice Graham, Ashland; Mrs. A. T. Enloe and Miss
Bernice Jackson, Natchitoches; two sons, James R. Jackson of the Navy,
stationed in San Francisco, and Edmond Jackson of Natchitoches; his mother,
Mrs. J. M. Jackson of Winnfield; one brother, Sam Jackson of Winnfield; and
six sisters, Miss Prentice Jackson and Mrs. Jim Martin of Winnfield, Mrs. J.
W. McLean, Goldonna, Mrs. John Kirkland, Dodson, Mrs. Ella Drummond, Hodge,
and Mrs. Sidney Loe of Bienville.
