At the residence of her brother in law, Prof. J. J. Mixon, Susie Ann Abel, wife of Henry James died at 10 a.m. today, aged 35 years. She will be buried at Jerusalem graveyard tomorrow at 1 o'clock p.m. The funeral service will be at the Methodist Episcopal Church at 10 a.m. tomorrow. Mrs. James had been an invalid for the past six months. About a month ago Dr. Williams brought her here from her home in West Carroll Parish, hoping that the change would benefit her. At first she seemed to improve, but since has gradually grown worse until the end came today. She leaves a husband and three small children, besides Messrs. Perry and Morgan Abel, brothers; Mrs. J. J. Mixon and Mrs. Helen Teddlie, sisters, and two half brothers, Dr. W. H. Williams and Mr. Pat Abel. All were with her at her death except Pat Abel, and everything was done by relatives and loving friends that could be done to alleviate her suffering. She met death with true Christian resignation, saying she was ready, that the Lord's will be done. We extend to the husband and family our sincere condolence in their irreparable loss.
