A. Madden, 73, Succumbs; Rites Held Wednesday Funeral services were held for James A. Madden, 73, of Winnfield, who died Tuesday, May 23, 1967 in a local hospital after a long illness. Services were held in the First Presbyterian Church here with Rev. W. R. Gage officiating. Masonic graveside rites were conducted with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield, under direction of Hixon Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield. Mr. Madden was a retired fireman for the I & C Railroad and a member of Eastern Star Masonic Lodge No. 151. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Frances Galloway Madden, Winnfield; one son, Thomas L. Whitlock of Winnfield; one daughter, Mrs. Christine Galloway Guido, Baton Rouge; one sister, Mrs. Lena Mae Walker, Chatham.
