J. A. McLain Of Atlanta Is Buried Sept. 29, Mars Hill

Funeral services for J. A. McLain, 84, of Atlanta, were held Sunday at 4 p.m.
at the Mars Hill Baptist Church, with Rev. Jack Jones officiating.  Burial was
in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

McLain, a retired farmer, died Saturday afternoon in a Winnfield hospital
after a long illness.

Survivors are his widow; two sons, A. H. McLain and E. R. McLain, both of
Atlanta; three daughters, Mrs. Ivy Shaw of Montgomery, Mrs. Hattie Barton of
Winnfield, and Mrs. Odel Smith of Pineville; 16 grandchildren and 14 great
grandchildren.
