  We are indeed sorry to record the death of aunt "Polly" James, as she was 
commonly known mother of Mr. L. L. Lawrence of ward 3, who died quite 
recently.  We are sorry the more so, because she was our aunt in the flesh, 
and next to the word mother; the earliest and fondest of our recollections 
were associated with the name "Aunt Polly".  She was very old and had lived 
out her days.  May we like she, when we come to died, look back on a life well 
spent.
