Last Rites Held For C. W. James At Iatt Monday


Last rites for Charlie W. James, 71, who died at his home near Atlanta at 2:45
p.m., Saturday, were conducted at the Iatt Baptist Church Monday at 10 a.m.
with the Rev. George Foster officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery
under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mr. James was a retired timber man.

Survivors include his widow; five sons, T. I., and J. A., both of Atlanta; O.
A. of Verda, A. C. of Baytown, Texas, and H. C. of Winnfield; four daughters,
Mrs. B. A. Guilliams and Mrs. R. W. Roberts, both of Winnfield; Mrs. M. E.
Horn of Atlanta; and Mrs. B. B. Poisso, Jr., of Houma; one sister, Mrs. Homer
Hale of Montgomery; 23 grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and a host
of relatives and friends.
