Jenkins Held Saturday Funeral rites for Mrs. Louis Jenkins, 67 year old Winnfield resident who passed away at her home Friday, July 30, 1965, following a heart attack sometime earlier, were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Hixson Funeral Home. Dr. W. L. Holcomb officiated at the services. Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Mrs. Jenkins was a native of Mississippi but had lived in Winnfield the past 30 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband; two brothers, Herman Hodge of Harriston, Miss., and Henry Hodge of Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. Hester Dunn of Harriston and Mrs. Calya Corbin of Baton Rouge. Pallbearers were L. C. Carter, J. E. Gassiott, John Steen, J. P. Warren, Hovie Harrell, and Frank Brewer. Honorary pallbearers were Aubrey Hammonds, Willard Harlan, Jack Plunkett, Fred Minard, Seddie Walsh, Jesse Corley, Hulen Warren, Bruce Gough, E. S. Cole, Prentiss Cole, Warren Allen, Ralph Moseley, Welby Willis, and W. C. Nelson.
