Mother of Winn Residents Dies November 8

Funeral services for Mary Smith Jenkins, 93, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at
the Beech Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Albritton and Carl D. Rushing
officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Jenkins died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday November 8, 1966 in a Columbia nursing
home after a long illness.

Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Lavelle Crain of Grayson, Mrs. Sam King of
Olla, Mrs. Sherwood Whitton of Scotia, Calif., and Mrs. Lloyd Boyette of 
Cloverdale, Calif.; five sons, Louis Jenkins, Andrew Jenkins, and Clarence
Jenkins, of Winnfield,  Warren Jenkins of Houma, and Grady Jenkins of Andrew,
Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Joe Wilson, Mrs. Pearl Watts, Mrs. Lunar Smith, and
Miss Annie Smith, all of Brookhaven, Miss.; 27 grandchildren, 43 great
grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
