Mrs. Martha Jane Jennings Dead

Mrs. Martha Jane Jennings, wife of the late G. W. Jennings, died at her home
in Atlanta, La., Saturday, December 5th, after an illness of eleven weeks.

"Grandma" Jennings, as she was familiarly known, had been quite feeble for a
number of years, but always bore her sufferings with the patience and
fortitude of a Christian.

Her children, friends, and neighbors did everything that coule be done to make
her comfortable in her last illness.

She leaves three sons and one daughter to mourn her passing.  The sons are W.
M. Jennings, D. M. Jennings, and P. R. Jennings, and daughter Miss Pernie
Jennings.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon by Rev. William Sherwood and
she was laid to rest in the Sardis cemetery amid a host of sorrowing relatives
and friends.
