Zion Otho Iver Jennings, 59, died July 12 in Coushatta following a sudden heart seizure. He was a native of Hollenburg, Kansas and had lived in Coushatta for the past 20 years. Mr. Jennings, for many years owner and operator of Jennings Welding and Machine Works, was active in numerous civic affairs. He was a member of the Lions Club. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Leckie Mitchell Jennings of Coushatta; a daughter, Mrs. Linda Campbell of Coushatta; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Eugene Forest, Shreveport; one granddaughter; his mother, Mrs. Bessie Jennings, Morrowville, Kansas; two brothers and two sisters. The Rev. Jack Shaw and Rev. Bob Moore officiated at the services held at the First Baptist Church in Coushatta. Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Winn Parish near Montgomery.
