Mrs. Johnette Of Verda Dies Sat., Nov. 8

Mrs. Julia Johnette, 62, of Verda, died in a Pineville hospital Saturday,
November 8, following an operation for appendicitis.  Funeral services were
held at Iatt Baptist Church Wednesday, November 12.

Rev. A. C. Arrington conducted the funeral, with burial in Iatt Cemetery under
direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Survivors are six sons, Allen of San Antonio, Ulmer of Orange, Arlo of New
Verda, Willie of the Merchant Marines, Jesse of Brooklyn, W. B. of the U. S.
Navy; one daughter, Mrs. Ruby Sharbano of Colfax, Route 3; two stepdaughters,
Mrs. Lessie LaCaze of Flora and Mrs. Tressie Culp of Winnfield; four brothers,
A. E. Lasyone, Alfred Lasyone, New Verda; George Lasyone, Bud Lasyone of
Colfax; one sister, Mrs. George Corbett, of Colfax, and three grandchildren.
