Jackson Rites Held Wednesday Winn Parish Citizen Dies in Longview, Texas William Henry Jackson, 65 years of age, died at the home of his son, Mack Jackson, in Longview, Texas, January 31st, after a three weeks illness. The remains were brought to Sanders Chapel near Calvin Wednesday where last rites were conducted with the Rev. B. M. Leroy of Kilgore, Texas officiating. Interment was in the Sanders Cemetery. Pallbearers were H. E. Harper, C. D. Mercer, Sammy Starr, Teag Stair, B. W. Burnett, Archie Wood, G. T. Cutter, and Guy Holder. Mr. Jackson was born in Winn Parish, the son of Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Jackson and the late J. M. Jackson. He spent most of his life here but in the past several years had resided with his sons in Longview, Texas. He was a member of the Calvin Baptist Church. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Jackson of Winnfield; four sons, Mack, J. O., Robert, and Willie Jackson of Longview; two daughters, Mrs. Irene Schmidt of Texas City and Miss Annie Jackson of Winnfield; six sisters, Mrs. J. H. Martin and Mrs. Prentice Jackson of Winnfield; Mrs. Jennie McLean, Goldonna; Mrs. J. C. Kirkland and Mrs. Ella Drummond, Jonesboro; Mrs. Sidney Loe, Bienville; and two brothers, Randall Jackson of Campti and Sam Jackson of Calvin. Four grandchildren also survive. Among the out of town relatives and friends attending the funeral were Dooley McKinnon, C. E. Barber, Archie Woods, C. D. Mercer, Sammy Starr, Marvin Kiltner, Tom Matson, Mr. and Mrs. G. T. Cutler, Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Burnett, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Holder, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Harper, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Keltner, Mr. and Mrs. Conway Young, Mr. and Mrs. Troy Starr, Mrs. S. G. McDonald, Mr. Bob McDonald, E. N. McDonald, Jr., Mrs. Helen Smelley, Edith Mae Cunningham, Miss Stella Holland, Mrs. Nona Grigsby, Miss Mildred Davis, and Lola Mae Burnett, all of Longview, Texas; Rev. B. M. McLeroy of Kilgore, Texas; Mr. Willie McDonald of Dallas; Mr. Hayes of Texas City and Mrs. Charles Rucker of Houston.
