Funeral services were conducted at the Southern Funeral Home Chapel, Winnfield, Wednesday, January 4, 1961, at 3 p.m., with Rev. R. H. Staples officiating. Burial was in the Winnfield Cemetery with graveside services in charge of Eastern Star Masonic Lodge No. 151, with Warren Allen Worshipful Master, directing the ceremony. Pallbearers were Lloyd Key, J. W. Kennedy, Jr., Bud Roberts, Cheston Stevens, Clifford Long, and Randall Brady. Mr. Long was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Long of Winnfield and was a first cousin of the late Huey P. Long and the late Earl K. Long. He was a member of the Methodist Church, the Masonic and Shrine Orders. He is survived by one brother, W. Otho Long, and one sister, Miss Edith Ann Long, both of Winnfield, and one nephew, Albert J. Long of Shreveport.
