Funeral of Mrs. A. C. Jones Friday At Cypress Creek

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Jones, widow of the late A. C. Jones of the
Cypress Creek community will be held at the Cypress Creek Baptist Church
Friday at 1 p.m.  Mrs. Jones died Wednesday afternoon, January 5, 1949, at
the home of her daughter, Miss Pearl Jones, in DeQuincy, La.

Mrs. Jones, about 80 years of age, spent most of her lifetime in the Cypress
Creek community.  For the past several years she had resided in DeQuincy with
her daughter.

Surviving are two daughters, Miss Jones of DeQuincy and Mrs. J. W. Shows of
Winnfield; four sons, Sherwood Jones of DeQuincy, and Curtis, Dallas, and
Gilbert of Dodson; one brother, Ben Mixon of Dodson.
