T. Jones Buried Thursday At Alexandria Judge Wiley T. Jones, 67, of Colfax, native of Winn Parish, was buried at the Greenwood Cemetery in Alexandria, La., Thursday. He died in a New Orleans hospital Tuesday night after undergoing an operation. Born at Hudson, Winn Parish, Judge Jones practiced law in Winnfield for several years prior to his appointment as district judge in 1929. In 1930 he was elected to a six year term as district judge for the same territory, comprising Winn, Grant, Caldwell, and LaSalle Parishes. After retiring from the bench he practiced law in Alexandria, La., during which time he served as assistant district attorney for the state of Louisiana under Eugene Stanley. He is survived by his wife, one son, Wade T. Jones of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Della Hatten of Oak Grove, La., Mrs. Martha Jordan and Mrs. Josie Gaar, both of the Hudson Community, Winn Parish. Among his nieces and nephews surviving are Mrs. R. W. Buce, of Winnfield, Mrs. C. L. Shell and Miss Pearl Jones, both of Dodson, Mrs. A. H. Colvin of Jonesboro, Mrs. Tennie Hightower, Mrs. W. R. Sharman and Henry Walker of Ruston, Mrs. John Langley of Ajax, La., W. A. Jones of California, Ira P. Jones of Waco, Texas, and Harvey Jones of Montgomery. Judge Jones' sister, Miss Rosa Jones, about 75 years of age, died at the home of her nephew, Harvey Jones, Montgomery, La., two weeks ago. She was buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
