Funeral services were held Sunday morning at eleven o'clock at Beech Creek Church, conducted by Rev. Crain, who was assisted by Rev. Doughty and Rev. Bailey. Interment was in the Beech Creek Cemetery. Joe Jenkins was born near Brookhaven, Miss., January 24, 1897. He moved to Louisiana at the age of eighteen years, and has made his home in this state since. He has been employed by the Urania Lumber Company for a number of years. He was a good son, husband, and father and a friend to all. He leaves a wife and five children, Mavis, Albert, Zella Jean, Ruby Lee, Mary Lou; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jenkins of Hinton; five brothers and four sisters, Louiis Jenkins of Winnsboro, Andrew Jenkins of Winnfield, Clarence, Warren, and Grady of Hinton; Mrs. Sam King, Hinton, Mrs. Loyd Boyett, Urania; Mary and Masie of Hinton and a host of friends to mourn his passing.
