Funeral Held For Mrs. Bessie Jones, Former Resident

Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Jones of Hayward, Calif., formerly of Winn
Parish, were held Monday, February 16, in Hayward.  Burial was in Santa Clara
Cemetery.

Mrs. Jones died Saturday, February 14, at her home in Hayward, after a lengthy
illness.  She was 78 years old.

She was the wife of the late Andrew L. Jones, and was a resident of Winn
Parish for a number of years.  The past eight years she had resided in
Hayward, Calif.  She was well known in Winn and the Wheeling community.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Houston Stroud, Montgomery; two sons,
Andrew L. Jones of Richmond, Calif., and William E. Jones, Hayward, Calif.,
eleven grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters.
