Funeral services for Mrs. Walter Jones who died at her home in Sweetwater, Texas, Thursday, October 24, 1946, were held at Roscoe, Texas, Friday, at 4 p.m., with the Rev. Parks of Roscoe, and the Rev. T. L. Rhymes of Winnfield in charge. A resident of the Hudson Community, Winn Parish, for many years, Mrs. Jones, with her family, moved to Texas several years ago. She was a native of Rapides Parish and before her marriage was Miss Ellen Bonnette. She was a member of the Baptist Church of Portales, N. Mexico. Surviving are her husband and nine sons and daughters: Mrs. Janie Mae White, Mrs. Pauline Carpenter, Mrs. Zelma Carpenter, and Lawson Jones, of Winnfield; Glover, John, and Debb Jones of Kilgore, Texas; Mrs. Annie Lee Barker of Portales, N. M.; and Curtis Jones, Sweetwater, Texas. She also leaves two brothers, Ernest and Boud Bonnette of Campti.
