H. Jones Succumbs to Heart Attack Friday A heart attack at 7 a.m. Friday, August 20, proved fatal to Mrs. W. H. Jones, 51, of Montgomery. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Mount Zion Cemetery. Rev. Lewis White, pastor of the Montgomery Baptist Church, was the officiating minister. Mrs. Jones, a native of DeSoto Parish, lived in Winn Parish for several years. She moved to Montgomery when she married. The deceased was an outstanding leader in the Baptist Church. Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. A. B. Coleman, Georgetown, and Mrs. Edgar Lolly, Montgomery; three sons, Paul K. Jones, Washington, D. C., Malcolm Jones of the U. S. Navy, and Leland Jones, a member of the Naval Reserve at Tulane University, New Orleans; two sisters, Mrs. S. J. McLamore, Montgomery, and Mrs. Jesse Boyette, Shreveport, formerly of Winnfield; three brothers, Earl Hughes, Hodge, Herschell Hughes, Montgomery, and J. W. Hughes, in the Army Medical Corps overseas.
