Johnson Of Clarence Is Buried At St. Maurice Funeral services for E. C. Johnson, 67, well known Clarence resident who died Monday in a Shreveport hospital, were held Wednesday at the St. Maurice church in Winn Parish by the Rev. Lula Wardlow. Burial was in the Independence Cemetery at St. Maurice. Mr. Johnson was born and reared in St. Maurice. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church for more than 50 years. He was a carpenter by trade and at the time of his death was supervising the construction of a residence for his daughter, Mrs. Sam Grappe, Clarence. Surviving are the widow; five daughters, Mrs. J. P. Rambin, Campti, Mrs. Jo Anna Clemmons, Washington, D. C.; Mrs. J. G. Felker, Los Angeles, Calif; Mrs. B. L. Wallace and Mrs. Grappe, both of Clarence; two sons, W. C. of Los Angeles and Garland of Camp Beauregard; his mother, Mrs. Lou Johnson and a sister, Mrs. J. E. Strickland, both of Montgomery.
