Johnson At Mt. Zion Dec. 8 Mrs. Lou Johnson, better known as "Granny" to her friends and relatives, departed this life December 4 at 12:55 in the home of her daughter in El Paso, Texas. Mrs. Johnson made her home in the Wheeling community for a number of years with Mrs. J. E. Strickland. She had been in ill health for several months, yet active and lively in life. She was 89 years, one month and twelve days of age and a member of the Colfax Baptist Church. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, December 8, at 2:30 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Methodist Church with Rev. T. A. Brown, pastor, officiating and interment was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. J. E. Strickland of El Paso, Texas, ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Acting as pallbearers were Frank Fredieu, Harrison Stroud, Oliver Neal, James Strickland, P. K. Smith, and Ollie Bishop.
